    A Message from Tokyo – January 2025

    January 7, 2025 /

Goodbye 2024. Hello 2025. Happy New Year, Everyone! Sitting here at my garden table on the first Sunday of January 2025 feels no different from any other day, but I’m grateful for the upcoming year that stretches out before me, waiting for me to carve. Japan experienced a year filled with significant events, ranging from natural disasters to groundbreaking achievements and cultural milestones. The year started with the massive earthquake in the Noto Peninsula on New Year’s Day marking the most disastrous start of a New Year. In this post, I will narrate an incident that left us with mixed feelings at the start of 2024! On 1st January 2024,…

You are not too old, And it is not too late. Sharing this experience with people might help someone with a similar situation during uncertain times. We had made a promise to ourselves that once we got through it, we would be open and as transparent as possible. Because when you share things, experiences, habits, and success hacks, it does have an impact on supporting other people and making them feel secure and protected in this very modern, technically equipped, yet complicated world we live in today. Piyush Kapur secured his first full-time employment in Tokyo in a Japanese company specializing in Cloud Security Solutions after a long wait of…

Inner Musings from Tokyo : AMJ 2022

    July 30, 2022 /

The new financial year begins! And new plans and new goals to look forward to! Let us recap the AMJ! The Sakura season crossovers to April in Tokyo & its surrounding areas, and continues to be eye tranquilizing until mid of April. And then this, one of the most beautiful elaborate scenery times in Japan, travels over to the North of Japan till the end of April and spills over even to the beginning of May. One could catch this scenery for about a few months, traveling from the South of Japan to the North of Japan. April for us started with a luxurious stay in a Hotel in Tokyo.…

Inner Musings from Tokyo : JFM 2022

    April 19, 2022 /

Welcome to the 1st post of the calendar quarter of 2022! It is April, and Japan is getting more beautiful with colors everywhere. This year we decided to focus on a few other areas of life and, hence we decided to give quarterly updates on our blog, primarily taking our own lives as inspiration and sharing notes related to ourselves, which could become useful for someone far away. In our posts, one would find everything they will look for while deciding to be in Japan. So let us begin our journey of 2022! And take stock of how each month Jan Feb Mar performed for us and Japan. January brought…

Inner Musings from Tokyo : December 2021

    January 4, 2022 /

For Japanese language learners, December is a month that tests the whole year of efforts and dedication on, not only improving the language skills – written, spoken, and listening, but it is also about a process of understanding oneself, whether you are excited about giving the exam and continuing it the next year as well. My N3 classes got over in November and then it was a week of 復習 or revision. That 1 extra kanji or a grammar pattern if you could know more, might come in the exam!
